Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (15 August 1875 - 1 September 1912) was a British composer and conductor. His most famous works were his three cantatas on the 1855 poem “The Song of Hiawatha” by American Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

Deep river, Lord, I want to cross over into campground.
Oh, don’t you want to go to that gospel feast,
That promised land where all is peace?
