Carl Flesch’s Scale System is, almost a century afterits initial conception, still one of the most widely-used scale methods foradvanced violinists, and now also for violists, cellists, and bassists. 

This Carl Fischer edition has been transcribed for cello by WolfgangBoettcher, and is based on Max Rostal’s expansion and revision of the violinversion.  As the full title suggests,scales and arpeggios are presented in all major and minor keys, as well as in avariety of rhythmic patterns for well-rounded practice.
