Karl Joseph Schneider Legacy Series 1718 Stradivari Violin
I have been in the market for a powerful soloist violin for a year and a half, and I finally found what I have been looking for. I went into the Shar Music store in Ann Arbor and spent several hours sampling this violin against six other violins in varying price ranges. The 1718 stood out against them all. This violin has a brilliant upper range with a well balanced mid to lower range. What surprised me the most is the projection this violin has, especially in the upper ranges. This is what made it stand out compared to the others. After a 10 day home trial I decided this was the right violin for me. I would highly recommend this violin.
Karl Joseph Schneider Legacy Series 1718
I went into the Shar Music store in Ann Arbor and sampled the Karl Joseph Schneider Legacy Series 1718 against 5 other varying priced violins, this violin by far outperformed them all. This violin has fantastic projection and a powerful upper registry. After a 10 day trial against the Karl Joseph Schneider Legacy Series 1732 I decided to purchase the 1718. The 1732 has a brilliant lower tone to it, however I could not get over how well the 1718 played and the sound it projects. I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this violin.
KJS Legacy Stradivari Violin
I trialed this violin along with other more expensive violin. This violin sounds very similar to the 2k violin that I own which wasn't what I needed. The high register didn't project well and the instrument doesn't play out easily. I was quite disappointed because I expected it to have a good projection and brilliant sound.

Amazing violin. It seems to be perfectly crafted. It's beautiful to look at and hold. It has a feel unlike any other violin while playing. The Shar description states this violin has massive projection: That's an understatement. Soft or strong, this violin produces a nice tone and sound. Definitely worth the investment . . .
