Great!

I use these straps on a daily basis and they work great! Using 2 for a backpack system works extremely well. As advertised the load feels 50% lighter!! The only thing is that the cello case is very high up, and personally I find that to be more comfortable, a problem arises when you are in a room with low ceilings, or getting onto a subway car.

A mandatory item

I was the happy owner of a Continental case since 1992 and allthough I really loved the design, the case, designed with just one side-mounted strap and being very heavy was not very practical for every day use. So, two years ago I ordered the lattest model which featured two straps for backpack use. It was an improvement, but something seemed wrong - the straps were not designed for a backpack use and so the air-filled compartments were in the wrong place and so next to useless. These new straps are true to their promise: they are extremely comfortable and you have the feeling that the case is much lighter than it really is. I would suggest that American Case Co. should offer their clients a choice between one older-style strap or two newer ones (or both, at a cost?)

Comfortable, but...

I got one of these straps, and liked it very much; the foam-filled grid is very comfortable on my old shoulders. However, it is, after only a year or two, disintegrating, and leaves my shoulder covered with a bunch of little black flakes. They are easily brushed off, but it is not the best situation!
