"These are perfectly designed for holding foam shoulder rests on. They function very well for the purpose. They're not "invisible," but they're a lot less visible than any rubber bands. And they're durable. I bought over a dozen, thinking that they'd be short lived like rubber bands, but after at least six months I'm still using the first two I deployed, and they show no signs of wearing out, at all. Shar's photo shows one band stretched from endpin to corner to corner, and I think that results in an unnecessary amount of tension. I use two, each one stretched from the endpin to one corner. It works great for my Belvelin rests."

Finally, a good way to attach a foam rest onto an instrument. It can attach as shown, or as looped around the base of a center-mounted chinrest. It's sufficiently strong, and just the right length for fitting on the corners. Additionally, it's invisible, removing the amateurish look of regular rubber bands on the instrument. An excellent find.
