Joseph Guy Ropartz, a French composer and poet, took inspiration in his compositions from the likes of Debussy, Franck, and Ravel.  Hailing from the northwest region of France known as Brittany, Ropartz also celebrated his Breton heritage in his music.  All these influences can be heard in his Piano Trio in a minor, written in 1918, which is at times richly romantic, at others colorful and Impressionistic, with hints of folk music from time to time.  The trio has three movements (the final movement has two very different tempo characters, and can sometimes be heard as two separate movements), and is best suited to an advanced piano trio.

This edition is a reprint of the 1919 Durand Edition, and contains a piano score, a violin part, and a cello part.  Published by Lauren Publications.

Difficulty: A5
