Shostakovich, Dmitri - String Quartet No 5 in B-flat, Op 92 - Parts - DSCH Edition
Like his famous String Quartet No. 8 in c minor, Shostakovich's String Quartet No. 5 in B-flat Major contains the composer's "monogram" - a brief motive based on letters in his name (DSCH). Also similar is the way in which the movements elide, to be played continuously through without a break. The String Quartet No. 5 was composed in 1952 and premiered by the Beethoven Quartet the following year.
This edition contains a set of parts for two violins, viola, and cello. Score sold separately. Published by DSCH Publishing.
Difficulty: 5 - 6
