A powerful and clear violin from master Italian makers, Elise Scrollavezza and Andre Zanre, this violin was patterned after a G.B. Guadagnini from 1744.

The back is of one piece of maple cut on the quarter of narrow width flaming descending from left to right. The ribs and scroll are of similar maple. The top is of two pieces of spruce cut on the quarter of narrow width grain widening slightly at the flanks. The varnish is red-brown over a golden ground.
